We are delighted to announce the official opening of the Spaziu INSEME on 27 May, a space dedicated to welcoming and resting people living in Corsica who are forced to move to the mainland for medical reasons.
This centre was created at the Ajaccio hub thanks to close collaboration between the INSEME association, the Corsican regional authorities and our airport, all united around the same objective: to offer caring and respectful support to those going through health problems.

Thank you to Father Frederic Constant for blessing this place of rest.
Comfort, confidentiality and care have guided the design of this space, conceived as a haven of calm and comfort before an often trying journey.

A space that island patients will be able to use in the event of traffic disruption, flight delays or cancellations.
In such cases, medical passengers sometimes have to wait several hours before being able to catch another flight.
Similarly, during busy periods, airports can become overcrowded and there are no more seats available in the boarding lounges.

In future, «a complete procedure» will be available for sick passengers.
Anyone presenting proof of a medical appointment on the continent will receive a card giving them priority access to check-in counters, security checks and the waiting room.
We would like to extend our warmest thanks to all the partners and players involved in making this project possible.
This partnership is a perfect illustration of the strength of island solidarity: together, we're making the journey a more human experience.
